"Law of Dharmashastras" is a collection, on selected topics, of important Smriti texts. Smritis were authored by ancient sages and re repository of the body of rules called Hindu Law a law that catered the needs of a multitudionous population of the sub-continent from time immemorial to modern age and partly continues in force even now, The texts are chronologically systematically and analytically arranged to indicate the gradual evolution of the law and to make them conveniently comprehensible to modern student of law.
